Education Through Music-Los Angeles puts music back into inner-city schools as part of the core curriculum for every child, where it belongs. Education Through Music-LA is serving nearly 12,000 students with weekly, yearlong music instruction. Music has the power to transform the lives of children and their communities, and to provide them with such lifelong benefits including self-confidence, problem-solving skills, teamwork, perseverance, concentration, and motivation to stay in school. Our objectives include:
SODE School of Performing Arts teaching artists are industry professionals who are passionate instructors, experienced in multiple dance genres, music and performing arts styles. Our goal at SODE School of Performing Arts is to educate, inspire and expose our students to dance, music, language and theater basics in a fun and safe environment.  We believe in encouraging self-expression, creative thinking, and confidence building throughout all of our programs.  SODE School of Performing Arts offers in-school dance programs throughout elementary and middle schools across Los Angeles.
Get Lit – Words Ignite fuses classic and spoken word poetry to increase teen literacy and cultivate enthusiastic learners emboldened to inspire social consciousness in diverse communities. “Claim Your Poem, Claim Your Life.”
Lineage Dance and Performing Arts Center is a nonprofit arts organization that creates dance performance, provides arts education, nonprofit support, arts production infrastructure, dance classes for persons with movement challenges, and more.
The MobileMuralLab (MML) collaborates with artists, organizations, cultural institutions, schools, and communities to facilitate interactive mural painting programs, events and workshops.
The Unusual Suspects Theatre Company (US) is a recognized leader in the fields of arts education, mentorship and community building, having been a thriving force in the underserved neighborhoods of Los Angeles County for over two decades. Our participant-driven theatre-arts programs utilize arts education to mitigate the underlying family and community risk factors that threaten the healthy development of the 1,000+ children and adults we serve annually (90% in grades 5-12), including foster youth and incarcerated minors.
As L.A.’s performing arts center, The Music Center convenes artists, communities and ideas with the goal of deepening the cultural lives of every resident in Los Angeles County. The Music Center provides year-round programming inside The Music Center’s four theatres, on Jerry Moss Plaza, outside at Gloria Molina Grand Park—a 12-acre adjacent green space—in schools and other locations all over Los Angeles County.
Drama Education Network provides standards-based curriculum products, teacher training services, and school residencies in arts and literacy for grades PreK-12. Our mission is to empower educators to use creative drama and theatre arts to create an optimal learning environment in any classroom. We specialize in theatre education, literacy development, and arts integration across the curriculum.
Culture Shock Los Angeles is a nonprofit dance and arts education organization that utilizes Hip Hop and urban dance culture to cultivate meaningful education, enrichment and entertainment programs to inspire positive change in the communities we serve.
