Lineage creates a home for connecting through the arts for the greater Pasadena area by producing public works of dance, theater, and music; providing arts education in schools and for amateurs and professionals; and supporting other artists and nonprofits with production and infrastructure.
Lineage offers teaching artist residencies, professional development, workshops, after-school dance programs, and more, tailored to grade level and integrated into the curriculum needs of the school. Lineage has ongoing partnerships with systemically under-resourced, excluded, and erased artists and cultural practitioners, including Latin, hula, modern, and hip-hop dancers at John Muir High School, Eliot Arts Magnet, and Altadena Arts Magnet.
Lineage Performing Arts Center provides dance and theater artists to help teachers in STEM fields integrate the arts in the classroom and in school assemblies.
