Presented by the LA County Office of Education, this arts education professional development series is designed for secondary teachers and art coordinators, secondary principals and assistant superintendents. The workshops will frame the importance of the arts to engage and maximize student learning of the California’s State Standards.

This two-day series will involve participants in activities creating interdisciplinary and project based teaching in alignment with the California State Standards including History-Social Studies, English Language Arts, Science, and Visual and Performing Arts.

Extensive resources will be provided including videos of modeled strategies, art works, lesson plans and scholarly research.

Day 2 April 20, 2018

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
2:00 p.m. Self tour of the gardens and galleries. Admission fee included. 

Cost: Free 
Continental Breakfast and materials included. Lunch on your own at one of the many restaurants within the Huntington.
