About 'CREATIVE WELLBEING'
“CREATIVE WELLBEING: Arts, Schools, and Resilience” is a project co-designed by the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, Los Angeles County Office of Child Protection, and the Arts for Incarcerated Youth Network (AIYN).
The Creative Wellbeing “Family Space” is a series of 7 drop-in, virtual workshops offering engagement in healing-informed art practices by AIYN members as a way to build connection, bolster protective factors, and foster community-care among parents, especially during these stressful times. These workshops acknowledge the arts as a core strategy for fostering communities of wellness and serving as a healing-informed space for caring adults.
