ARTS NOW: LA COUNTY ARTS EDUCATION SUMMIT

The Arts Now: LA County Arts Education Summit will mark 15 years of coordinated efforts for arts education in LA County. Presenters will share findings from the Arts Ed Profile, a research project designed to identify the quality, quantity and equitable distribution of arts education in LA County. Participate in conversations and workshops to hear updates and success stories as well as learn about local and statewide strategies and resources for including arts in LCFF/LCAPs, district strategic arts plans and student advocacy.
This event is recommended for school board members, superintendents, district and school leaders, VAPA coordinators, teachers, arts leaders, community partners, student leaders and community advocates.
This Summit is presented by LA County Arts Education Collective and California Alliance for Arts Education, in partnership with Arts for LA and the LA County Arts Commission. The Summit is part of the Alliance’s Arts Now Campaign spotlighting opportunities to strengthen and advance the statewide arts education agenda.
There is ample parking available near JANM. While we recommend the lot located at 352 East Temple Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012, please refer to the JANM events parking list for additional parking locations. Expect to pay approximately $20 for event parking.
JANM is easily accessible by public transportation, including the Dash and Metro lines. Union Station is a 15-minute walk or a short ride on a Dash bus. The Metro Gold line Little Tokyo/Arts District station is a short walk. PLEASE NOTE: Due to ongoing construction of the Metro Regional Connector, there may be street closures and detours near JANM.
