Poetry: How to Use it for Social-Emotional Learning

Teaching Artist Eddie Ruiz demonstrates how you can use poetry for social-emotional learning in this guided practice. Poetry is an excellent tool to use in the classroom for social-emotional learning to help students navigate their emotions. In this activity, students learn to ask themselves questions as they write an "I am" poem to someone who matters.
